The wine produced by Sacrafamilia Grandama Arte della Luce is the result of “Spiritual Agriculture”, a work project inspired by Saint Benedict’s motto: “ora, lege et labora” which literally means “pray, study and work “.
The pillars of this activity are prayer and the study of plants, and their response to man’s work.
The hard and strenuous daily work in the vineyards of Sacrafamilia Grandama Arte della Luce becomes a spiritual exercise to rediscover our belonging to God: it begins and it concludes with a prayer to offer our labour, to ask and thank God for the necessary gifts He may bestow on us.
Natural Agriculture thus becomes a school of Faith, the Art of cultivating the Spirit.
We do not apply any chemicals whatsoever in our vineyards: we use no fungicides, no insecticides, no herbicides, no fertilizers, no sulphur nor copper.
